About Jay Tikam

I am passionate about transforming financial services to bring about a meaningful change, through greater financial inclusion and creating a more stable system.
I founded Vedanvi to help bring new Fintech ventures to the market by helping them shape their proposition and strategy, build resilient infrastructure, successfully obtain regulatory licensing and get quick market traction.
For established Fintech businesses, we can you grow and scale to the next level. We’ll get you ready for funding or help prepare you for an acquisition.
We help incumbents evolve to respond to the Fintech threat or use technology to enhance operational efficiency or deliver a better customer experience.

Prior to launching Vendanvi, I was an interim executive helping to deliver strategic multi million pound regulatory change projects, launch an intrapreneurial venture, create a new business unit, and head up a risk function, collectively at Prudential, Aviva and Aegon.
Before a career in interim management, I was a senior consultant at Ernst & Young in London, advising some of the biggest names in financial services, including, Lloyd Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, HBOS, Nationwide, Egg Bank, Schroders, and Royal Sun Alliance.

Originally from South Africa, before relocating, I led Basel II implementation in the SA banking system and was a member of the non-G10 arm of the Basel Committee.

You can find my articles on my blog http://vedanvi.com/blog/.

Before becoming involved in finance, I had a short career as an intellectual property lawyer and an electronic engineer.
I am also a qualified Non Executive Director.
